Where are there school nurses? As a product of the 49th worst per-pupil funded public school system in the country, I always thought they were a Leave It To Beaver throwback fantasy.

I know we probably shouldn’t completely freak out about this, but I’m freaking out about this.

I received this book as a gift when my first son was born. About a year later I got a new job and it took me a few months to realize that one of the co-authors was my new boss. He’s a good guy.

This was an unforced error. Don’t say shit like that on camera, and in today’s world assume you’re always on camera.

My bad. Lost the thread there.

I don’t know, looks like he’s working pretty hard in full sun. Might be appropriate to lose the jacket.

Mopeds have pedals.

Doesn’t meet the price point, but c’mon, look at these!

Used Leaf or i3 off lease is totally in that budget.

If you’re worried, I’d look into charging at work. Even a standard 110 outlet will give you a full charge by the end of the day. An understanding boss and an extension cord could make a lot of difference.

This rings true to me from personal anecdotal evidence. I started Dry January about 3 years ago and last year it segued into “What the Hell, Mostly Dry February” and henceforth into just generally only drinking on the weekend, and then not very much. I lost 20 lbs and some self-hatred.

I’ll take 40. I’ll break out the shorts and Birkenstocks.

For similar functionality and way less money, I’d say get a used Nissan Leaf. The tax credits kill the resale value, so something coming off lease should be super cheap. I test drove the i3 at the same time I leased my Leaf and I felt I would just be paying more for a badge and some wacky futuristic styling.

Can’t wait for the flood of high school productions of Saint Joan.

So cold. My phone said 9 degrees this morning for my post-holiday return to work.

Your mileage will may vary, of course, but in my town certain items have moved up to “same-day delivery”. If I order by 10 am, it’s on my porch by 5. It’s kind of creepy.

I’ve had that too, at my suburban corner with someone home 23 hours a day.

I also think a lot of folks haven’t figured out that he’s white. They hear “El Paso” and “Beto” and they assume he’s some shade of brown, even with the “O’Rourke”.

Our oldest is also ... challenging. Love him to death, and a lot of his traits will hopefully mature into a truly creative leader captain-of-industry type, but right now when he’s 4, oof. I don’t need to add anything else to that pile.

This is relevant to the discussion in our household over when/whether to have a third. I think we’re already maxed out, my wife thinks “whatever, we already have two”.
