Exactly. Bates has done a decent job making Iris somewhat sympathetic, but it's problematic when we've watched every single character either do something terrible in the first episodes, or know that they are guilty by association.

Obviously I vastly prefer Kubrick's film. However, giving credit where it's due, Steven Weber and Rebecca De Mornay were excellent in the miniseries.
