Mainly because bailing out in a genuine emergency is a lot harder to do than bailing out from a staged one. And most emergencies occur at either takeoff or landing, so bailing out is kinda pointless. Unlike boating, where emergencies tend to happen away from the dock, once you get your plane in the air and at flight

“Computers allow us to make more mistakes faster than any other human invention, with the possible exception of Handguns...”

Social media was a mistake.

I deleted my FB account and have been frequenting forums again.  I find it refreshing.

People are using forums and instead of Facebook groups.

So that excuses stealing?

Yeah, my sympathies are with the people who paid (a lot—they’re not cheap) for epi pens to save their lives and didn’t get them, not with the vandals and thieves that _really_ need a hit of meth and trashed the life-saving pens. They’re not stealing food and blankets to care for their families, they’re just stealing

“Now, every outlet is calling these folks thieves, and sure, that’s technically correct.”

I should’ve stopped reading the first time Erin offered excuses for criminal behavior. But I kept reading and found more of it.

This is impacting folks like you and me who work to pay their bills, then get their hard-earned shit stolen by someone who

The interior and trim will hold up better in the Camry. I think that’s because 20 years ago, Camry buyers were willing to

Your thing about Japanese cars and rust is probably 30 years out of date.

Weirdly, it doesn’t have a very strong smell considering how few miles it’s been driven. It’s not really a BMW smell either. Although after last night, it probably mostly smells like the rotisserie chicken I brought home from the grocery store.

I think the new supra is underappreciated for what it really is: an extremely good looking bmw.

I enjoy weird jalopnik takes. More of these, together with real reviews and deep-dives into car culture. I can read about displacement and horsepower anywhere.
