He’s one of my favorite artists ever (have 10-plus of his albums, the book from his documentary, saw him live a few times) and while I am sad, I’ve got to say...I’m just thankful he had a long, good run. That’s the main emotion — thanks.

Oh great... does this mean I have trust the process, now?
That is not correct — we have numerous examples of this, starting with the “Calvin Johnshon” play that named the rule, as he was in the end zone.
Why is this the case? As shown above, “Item 3" says “End Zone Catches...the requirements are the same as in the field of play.”
Like Calvin Johnson and Dez Bryant (and I…
Lions fan, so I hate to spend time on NFL rules, but I *think* part of your analysis is wrong when you say:
Well...I initially read the headline as “AMC” Hammer Wagon and thought, “Wow, American Motors made a super-fast wagon back in the 1980s? Why haven’t I heard of this? This looks a lot better than the Eagle.”
So, I’m a bit disappointed, but this is still a good story.
The crowd is typically quiet in tennis because of tradition — my guess is that since tennis has roots as a “gentleman’s” and “ladies” sport of playing on pleasant English lawns, it (like golf) has a level of decorum that’s not expected of more “brutish” and “uncivilized” games like football or hockey.
You could also…
That’s great — he basically had a Golden Sombrero day.
I particularly like the pathetic “Okay. I retract my original statement.” at the end. I’m not going over there to click his tweets to see the responses that got him to meekly retract, but good job people.
Lots of good stuff here, though (unless I missed it) it didn’t directly take on the question I get asked the most often when watching high-level tennis (such as the US Open) with a newbie, which is “Why do they just keep hitting the ball back to other person?”
The newbie wants to know why every shot isn’t a winner, or…
No sure what the all-time single worst Tweet is (probably something from “Freedom” Joe Walsh), but probably the worst Tweeter in terms of ratio is Paul Ryan.
For his own tweets (i.e., when he’s not retweeting an appeal for aid for Harvey victims), he almost always goes into the negative. That’s because the entire left…

I agree that, almost always, the QB “wins and losses” stat is dumb - football is a team game. Howeva...
As a Michigan fan who lived in Chicago for a long time, I have been surprised to find out numerous Illini say that Michigan is their big rival (well, perhaps after Northwestern).
There is even a very detailed Wikipedia page about it, which makes no sense, as Michigan has dominated this series forever and there have…
I once had to abandon my car, 2 miles outside the entrance, due to awful parking management by Cedar Point. I had been waiting in line for over 2 hours, in my car slowly covering 2 miles, to get in at that point.
So that was not fun.
But it does have the best roller coasters on earth.
Eh, he has to do this. Sheriff is an elected position and there is zero chance he would get re-elected in North Carolina if he ignored such an obvious breaking of the law. I may want such racist-erected statues removed, but as a long-term plan (which is needed - there are a *ton* of these statues), having citizens…
It has been a surprising development, to me at least, but it is not unusual over the past few years for schools (at the college and pro level at least) to get Navy SEAL training.
Eh...I knew this doesn’t exactly make him unique on the PGA tour, but his very vocal “he’s doing a hell of a job” Trump backing does not endear him to me.
Aero Force One fan club member, I presume?
This guy is something. He is massively talented and can dominate against top college competition, but has had an attitude problem for years — he takes plays off, seems to always get nicked up (I’ve never seen a player lay on the field more, come off for a few plays, and then come back on), and seemed to be part of…
Well, I don’t think a lot of people were asking that question in this particular case, as McDowell plays defensive line...but OK.
“Yes, in his illustrious career he has exactly two good post-season starts.”
What? Do you think he pitched 31 innings against the A’s in two starts?
He certainly has had some bad starts (e.g, against the Giants) but most of those were when he was a rookie, and even then overall, he has had far more good & great starts.…
