Maybe she's the American Reagan alluded would cure cancer?

That's an interesting read. I've been expecting this to all come down to Mike and Hanzee meeting to do battle in Sioux Falls, thus the extremely high body count we're anticipating.

Yeah, I don't think Hank is making it out of the season alive. Or, at least, it'll be clear he's dying by the end. There's got to be some reason Molly's parents don't stay together, and her father dying because of something Lou did or didn't do would make sense as a reason the marriage eventually fell apart.

100% agreed on Kumail. He takes the piss out of people and things better than just about any comedian working today, while still being incredibly charming and likeable. Plus his natural enthusiasm could translate very well to dealing with the bots and the Mad(s). Or he could play put upon and downtrodden, so wry, just

If you add chocolate syrup, you can't even taste all the chemicals.

@avclub-d0cf409eb912cc0cc950b41b6d892d07:disqus, I feel like we don't often agree, but on this, we are like Milhouse and that kid from Shelbyville.

I'm not mad over his comedy, but, yeah, I don't care for it. I'm frustrated that someone who I think is wrong for the part, in something I was previously excited about, got it. You can fuck off, too, though. That's fine with me.

It's not Baron Vaughn or Hampton Yount that worry me — I actually think they're pretty good picks — it's the known (and hateable) quantity of Jonah Ray that has me down. Felicia Day is an interesting choice for the Mad, though. I wonder if this means Vaughn and Yount will also be henchmen?

No, Jonah Ray doesn't tell jokes. He demeans people — not the powerful or the rich and famous, just average people or those with actual problems — to fuel his superiority complex. Or his inferiority complex. Maybe both. Either way, he has an incredibly unlikeable persona and the whole point of the human guinea pig in

This is true every time Jonah Ray opens his mouth.

That was when they were mopping up around the prison after the first time the Governor attacked. He killed another teenager who didn't lower his weapon fast enough for Carl's liking.

I mean, they survived Morgan and that walker but… those two are D-E-D. Dead.

What kind of catchphrase is that?

Uh, in the parlance of the show, he would say "messers."

General Greivous. Your character. Woof.

True, which does belie the tone issues you mentioned once their aboard the ship. Our heroes are having an adventure (which they should have already spent two movies doing), while ostensibly the biggest battle of a war is happening around them. That's doable, especially if the story is about a loss of innocence like

You're right that people care "only" because it's Star Wars. But that's the only reason the prequels were made anyway, so the very Star Wars nature of it can't be discounted.

Money.

My expectations are medium, my hopes are high, but I've also got this net way down here in case both of those fall through.

Yeah, I don't think Lucas ever sat down and tried to figure the Jedi out. Honestly, the prequels seem to borrow a lot more from Knights of the Old Republic, the games and the comics, than they do the original trilogy.
