KA-CHA!

It’s almost as if Steven is half Gem half Earthling and is defined by his role in both worlds or something.

shaking his head at their innate lust for violence”

That’s my take on it as well. “Mind control” is too far, it’s more like “influence.” Like the One Ring. It amplifies your greed and desire for power. Plus, Loki had gone through some shit, having fallen into the asscrack of the Universe in Thor I and presumed dead or lost in oblivion somewhere, and his general

Or the way the sceptre was making everyone argue in the first Avengers film.

Also isn’t this kind of exactly what we see in Avengers aboard the Helicarrier, when everyone’s standing in the lab around the scepter and their argument starts to really heat up seemingly because of it? It seems like this fits into that - Thanos wasn’t controlling him explicitly, but the scepter/mind stone did

See also, Tony Stark creating Ultron. It’s internally consistent.

Nope. When the piece in the sewer was getting recharged by the UV lamp, it teleported the other two chunks back to itself and became whole. We saw the bag glow and expand, and the two guardians dig up their Dalek chunks and find they’d vanished.

And the Moffat era’s first story with the Daleks was set up entirely to get them back to being status-quo villains, so they aren’t all wiped out (apparently) in every appearance and need to be revived in a similarly grandiose way to come back. “Victory of the Daleks,” for all its problems, set the stage for the Daleks

I think I’d rather have another Christmas special instead of a New Year’s special. Christmas without a Doctor Who special just doesn’t feel right.

Choices come up on screen, you use your remote to control what happens.

That would be an interesting image to utilize for a show like this... Gems presented as female placing “Secretions” into a phallic symbol of a drill to create new gems...

I noticed that as well... Both Yellow and Blue had water draining into something that included colors of all 4 Diamonds. And the episode seemed to call attention to that.

I came to the realization that Randy holds it down throughout the movie. When Ralphie is beating up Farkus, he runs over, assesses the situation, recovers Ralphie’s glasses, then goes and gets reinforcements. He also hides and cries when he thinks the Dad is going to kill Ralphie, knowing people will come looking for

Gotta say, that picture of Miles’s wide-eyed imitation of Peter’s “I’m detecting!” pose never fails to crack me up.

This movie gets better and better with all these extras. Still can’t believe it wasn’t on the top 25 when it’s one of the best superhero movies. Let’s hope the Oscars don’t have the same oversight here that they did with The Lego Movie.

And “our” Pearl has yellow, pink, blue and white tones, in contrast to all the others...

And Ferb. And his love interest was Vanessa.

The way he worded that does sound snobby, but the gist of his statement has some truth to it. I do feel bad for actual voice actors who are consistently put out of work by celebrities who may or may not be any good at it who are clearly only hired for their names. Mark Hamill obviously is a totally legit and wonderful

The ‘lost scene’ from It’s a Wonderful Life, a frontrunner for all-time greatest SNL sketch: ‘You made one mistake Mr Potter, you double-crossed me and left me alive!’
