Also isn’t this kind of exactly what we see in Avengers aboard the Helicarrier, when everyone’s standing in the lab around the scepter and their argument starts to really heat up seemingly because of it? It seems like this fits into that - Thanos wasn’t controlling him explicitly, but the scepter/mind stone did…

Nope. When the piece in the sewer was getting recharged by the UV lamp, it teleported the other two chunks back to itself and became whole. We saw the bag glow and expand, and the two guardians dig up their Dalek chunks and find they’d vanished.

And the Moffat era’s first story with the Daleks was set up entirely to get them back to being status-quo villains, so they aren’t all wiped out (apparently) in every appearance and need to be revived in a similarly grandiose way to come back. “Victory of the Daleks,” for all its problems, set the stage for the Daleks…

I think I’d rather have another Christmas special instead of a New Year’s special. Christmas without a Doctor Who special just doesn’t feel right.

I noticed that as well... Both Yellow and Blue had water draining into something that included colors of all 4 Diamonds. And the episode seemed to call attention to that.

I came to the realization that Randy holds it down throughout the movie. When Ralphie is beating up Farkus, he runs over, assesses the situation, recovers Ralphie’s glasses, then goes and gets reinforcements. He also hides and cries when he thinks the Dad is going to kill Ralphie, knowing people will come looking for…

Gotta say, that picture of Miles’s wide-eyed imitation of Peter’s “I’m detecting!” pose never fails to crack me up. 

This movie gets better and better with all these extras. Still can’t believe it wasn’t on the top 25 when it’s one of the best superhero movies. Let’s hope the Oscars don’t have the same oversight here that they did with The Lego Movie.

The way he worded that does sound snobby, but the gist of his statement has some truth to it.
