Too bad it's the shitty Bioshock.

Have we all moved away from AVG as the best free anti-virus on the market? Just curious.

Lol, right? I think when it comes to jobs and freelance gigs, it's more along the lines of I really want it, whereas with apartments or whatever, it's more like "There's inventory for days, so I'm not gonna' go crazy about it."

Negotiating a salary, as odd as it sounds, is always my weak point. Only recently, with handling freelance work, have I begun negotiating salary/fees, etc.

New York. I've never not been able to negotiate rent. Ever.

I've always been pretty good when negotiating price and not feeling pressured, be it rent, car payments, or buying nerdy stuff at a convention. I basically throw out a reasonable price, in the case of rent, if it's marked at, say, $1500 a month, I'll offer $1150, knowing they'll come back with $1200-1300, which is

Guy's always been a douchebag. A notorious one. Doesn't surprise me to hear the Sox trashing him.

During an early lease termination event? Yeah, I did. That's the idea of the email they sent out.

The seven points above actually make pretty good sense. Friends of mine could have easily gotten lower rent if they negotiated, but they just went with the asking price for whatever reason. That never makes sense to me.

Good to know, thanks!

Awesome, thanks for breaking it down for me. I'm interested in the Pi or this other gizmo (would that be better) for this very purpose.

What would the primary stumbling block be in having solid video quality?

Would it be possible to use a HummingBoard or a Raspberry Pi to create a home video monitoring system? Is it powerful enough to do that? Blue Tooth and WiFi enabled or whatever?

I wish I knew about this last week. I tried to turn in my lease early to potentially buy a diesel from the same dealership. Suffice to say, they did not go for it and wanted to practically double my monthly payments.

I'd be more interested in learning where the rumor of blowing into the cartridge to "fix" it started from.

Cool, thanks!

I'm in the process of planning and saving for a major home renovation project but my next purchase is a Can-Am Spyder. Know anything about those? How to get a good deal?

Will do! I can only think of maybe a roundup of the best websites for investing? Vanguard, E*Trade, TD AmeriTrade (or whatever it's called), some random darkh orse site I don't know about, etc. Ease of use, barrier to entry, fees, etc. Would be worth covering if it hasn't been done recently, of course.

I'm addicted to reading your financial stuff. Whether its about investing, saving, IRA's, whatever, I think that's some of your best stuff. I'd love to see Gawker spin off a dedicated financial vertical with many of these notions folded in.

I also dig the pieces on people's workspaces and different little DIY projects

Is there anything this thing can't do?
