The slope is slippery. If a business can ban women or men, then race, gender identity, sexual orientation and all the rest will follow. “It doesn’t bother me” was an excuse for Jim Crow laws.

Except it starts with salons and then turns into bars and stores and other places of public accommodation. The State of Pennsylvania says that it’s unlawful to deny service on the basis of gender.

Blade three back and sides and tidy the top for a classic side parting. That’s me. Nice and simple. An old duffer in a white coat does that for €15. Place smells of old cologne, scalp tonic and has a great collection of classic car magazines. Plays sports radio all day. If a woman wishes to partake, get in line and

I was just typing elsewhere how every time I carry one of my kids I can’t help but picture tripping and cracking open their skull and this bitch does it on purpose. She did that to a child, and to a man running with a child. Somehow they are not human beings to her? She can’t see their fear and their struggle and

Character from an ‘80s underground comic book. You’re welcome.

When I was a teenager, it was “expected” that you’d get groped or felt up during a concert and if you got drunk, what happened to you was your own “responsibility”. Musicians wouldn’t say anything about it, heck half of them were probably doing misogynistic, homophobic, ableist acts themselves. While I understand that

I’m sure there will be glitches to work out ( which they even said themselves) but I doubt they would have set up a texting system without someone qualified to intercept and act upon those texts. At any rate, they’re actually trying to do something positive unlike the majority of bands or people in general. It’s easy

cis hetero men are afraid of gay men because they believe gay men will treat them the way they treat women. cis hetero men are afraid of gay men because they believe gay men will treat them the way they treat women. cis hetero men are afraid of gay men because they believe gay men will treat them the way they treat

Shockingly enough: Princess Diaries. At the time it was down to her and Helen Mirren for the part.

Larval form of an invasive species.

TWENTY PERCENT ROUNDED UP TO THE NEAREST DOLLAR AFTER TAXES OR GTFO PLEASE

I am also torn on this. I feel like posting the lyrics to a song — even a violent song — should not be an arrest-worthy offense. And then this kid (and/or his dad) have to go make everything complicated by having a stockpile of weapons in a subfloor. What the hell, universe. Work with me.

With the exception of the COA payments, college football players are paid in the same way miners used to be: in scrip. Food from the company cafeteria, housing that you may or may not get a say in, but nothing you can actually spend freely or take with you when you leave.

A great metaphor would be the way that actually happened with coal miners in the early to mid 1900’s. They were paid in chits to be used at the company store near their company house in a company town.

Oh, they aren’t responsible, they’re just objects. The brother ruined another family’s property, so now his family’s property should be ruined.

Great read. Worth noting that even those who hate the NCAA engage, to some extent in the NCAA’s cognitive dissonance. How often have people who hate the NCAA criticized them for making athletes “play for free”? I’m probably guilty of having said that. But there’s no reason to engage the NCAA in argument on its own

I don’t like the fine scheme not only because of obvious hypocrisy, but also because the players aren’t being paid in the same currency that they’re being fined in. While an education is definitely a form of payment, you can’t directly pay 2 points on your next exam for a sandwich, while you can pay 2 dollars for it.

If you wouldn’t pay full price for the item you probably don’t need it.
