About 2/3 the way through the article, it dawned on me that I was reading about curling with the same intensity and interest I read about basketball and football and soccer baseball. I think I’m going to take the rest of the day off and re-think my life.

We are ABSOLUTELY best internet friends. Only a love of Dave Martinez can unite souls across the ether so quickly.

Dave Martinez, a journeyman outfielder in the late 80s-90s (and apparently now a bench coach). Why did I love him? Because I thought he looked really tough in a baseball card I had from his time with the Cubs. Oh, the eye-black and awesome hair!

I main Mercy and like the change to Rez, but not the new Ult. The problem to me is that basically every other Ult in the game is a combination of powerful and simplicity. The only decisions take place BEFORE Ult use—where, when, who. For Valkyrie, though, it unleashes a stream of decision-tree complexity AFTER hitting

Oh glorious mis-commenting.

That’s the exact sort of response David’s girlfriend would give.

David’s girlfriend, right here.

That said, maybe I’m just lucky. I have read enough comments in various places to know that there are definitely some toxic Overwatch players, so ymmv.

I’ve personally found Overwatch to be 1,000x better in this regard than other FPS games, with a couple of notable exceptions (playing Widowmaker or Hanzo, especially on attack maps, will often earn you at least some groans from your teammates, and it’s frankly understandable because it’s basically like playing 5 vs. 6

Well, naturally it works because my cooking is amazing.

Best parenting decision my wife and I ever made was to announce a rule for our kids that they’re required to try everything as prepared (i.e., with the fixins’), but if they don’t like it, they’re 100% allowed to spit it out on the dinner table. The kids get so excited about being allowed to do something gross that

What fresh herbs and spices pair well with Spaghettios and Bush’s Baked Beans? Asking for a friend.

Some Overwatch, probably followed by a bit of Overwatch before sipping my toes into Overwatch.

I obvs don’t speak for anyone but myself, but I play XBox for new games. The old games I love aren’t from XBox 360—they’re from Nintendo and SNES. If I want lesser quality graphics, audio, and player control, then I’ll reach for my Wii’s virtual console.

Make it 4.

“they made it so that any off-the-ball foul that occurs in the final two minutes of any quarter results in the team on the receiving end getting two shots and the ball”

I think that’s obvious enough, but I read the OP as saying that some of the tips are like that—understandable to people who have played a lot, but opaque to newcomers—whereas other tips are beyond basic to even the most freshly-minted players.

IOW, I like her as a source of charging my Ult, but nothing more.

There is something fundamentally broken in Orisa. As a Mercy main, it’s sort of weird, but I LOVE having Orisa on my team—not because she adds good tanking or attacking skills, but because I know everyone locks onto her (as you said), so her health will get shot to pieces constantly and I can basically plug into her
