Drug War rules. My favorite part is when the detective has to maintain his cool after snorting way too much cocaine for a newbie. That's what pinged for me in this episode; not only was Cohle dealing with this entire fucked up situation, but he was also high as balls the entire time!

However the rest of this season/series ends up, this episode is going in the hall of fame.

Maybe, although I don't get that sense from the show. I mean, wouldn't the statute of limitations for that shit be pretty well passed?

Wow, never heard of this but it sounds great. I'm 2/3 done with Kim Stanley Robinson's Red Mars trilogy, and I love a good Lost In Space story. I'll be checking this out.

Since they've implied that there are a new string of killings in 2012, and since they haven't even left the interrogation rooms yet in that timeline, I'm starting to assume that the new killings are being perpetrated by someone we've already met.
