Except I think Harris has less of a chance of winning than Uncle Joe.  Having no real up and comers is a problem the Dems have ignored for a good decade too long.

Exactly - the choice between “old man who’s not all there” and “proudly evil old man who’s not all there” should really be an easy one.

Both candidates are terrible. Vote for the one who won’t require a coup to replace if the need arises.

Unfortunately that’s just the way prime time TV works (though yeah, 7 is a valid option). And also unfortunately, it’s gonna do nothing against allegations if they come out and say “hey can we move this up? Grandpa is worn out”

I don’t disagree. THAT SAID, I think that IF Biden’s line on his debate performance is that he wasn’t as well-rested as he should have been, and IF we buy that, then I don’t really see how “Hey, do *more* appearances, and do them after 8pm” works.

Here’s the thing: reassuring your nervous supporters that the debate was “one bad night” shouldn’t be complicated at all. Just get the candidate in as many live, unscripted situations as possible to prove that he can still think on his feet and still has the stamina to campaign. Schedule a live, one-hour town hall…

There might be a point somewhere in there if all the criticism of Biden actually came with a solution ... like perhaps a candidate that could take over and take on Trump, or maybe a strategy going forward, or anything really.

They just need to actually show up to vote. This guy is (rightly) ranting about Texas, but there’s other places that could swing if Dems (and Indys) would actually vote consistently in all elections.
