“...but we’ve yet to see its best.”
Just watched the original: Some of the worst shooting in movie history belongs to the 1980's cocaine-henchmen.
The accuracy is what makes it unwatchable for me. Succession had unlikeable characters but they made it absurd to the point of being funny.
“We’ve yet to see its best” and saying that Beverly Hills Cop isn’t one of the best action-comedies of all-time is... certainly an opinion. It’s one of the best action-comedies ever made, plain and simple.
For people who want to be pacified for 90 minutes.
Ah. I see I’m truly dealing with the star of the varsity debate squad here.
notjon is correct, and you are not
Do you think this review was written by an AI? Have you completely switched arguments from “This review was written by someone who cares too much” to “This review was written by an AI”?
How DARE the film critic try to tell the audience if a film is good or bad?! It’s almost like they think it’s their job or something!!!!
Of course it’s not for her. She clearly enjoys good movies.
It’s a shame because the first film was legitimately cute. But the minions going from sidekick to oversaturated Illumination mascots and these films having less and less reason to exist beyond that first one has been a bit of a bummer to watch.
what the fuck are you talking about?
Waiting for this to happen to a white person, I’d wager.
love when people defend 200 million dollar movies they couldn’t possibly have even seen yet.
I got through the first season, barely. There wasn’t a single character to root for. They didn’t even hide that the characters are pitching trading ideas to clients that serve no obvious need other than generating commissions. There wasn’t enough plot in the “industry” portion of the show which made the personal lives…
A poor defense when there are plenty of legitimately good movies and TV shows out right now.
This show is pretty much the Arliss of this era. No good ratings or anything, but HBO continues to prop it up because of a handful of critics and fans like it and the hope that it may actually become a major hit some day.
B.G. can’t casually hang out with people who have a felony, but the President can order assassinations and coups against US citizens as “official acts” and enjoy complete immunity. #America2024
America has lost its collective fucking mind.
