There is a reason that one of my podcasts call the X-men the worlds greatest Superhero soap opera and the 90s show captured that aspect

I love the X-Men cartoon in the 90s but it really does not hold up well,  I think 99% of the nostalgia for this is that theme song

Nu-AV Club also championed it. They wrote 3 articles about it in 3 years

that’s completely taken over the film industry

It’s the kind of show the old AV Club would’ve championed. Taylor Swift needed the coverage more I guess

They didn’t have a cartoon show and didn’t get movies until the 2000s

They absolutely had cartoons. One in the late 60s and another in the 90s.

I'm on board for all of this *except* the mini comic idea. If your story requires you to consult outside media it has failed. I'm fine with *enhancing* a film with tie-ins but don't make it a requirement.

This site gave it a C.  Was that sexism or racism?

That’s....a really good idea, actually!

That’s my absolute top pick but if they decide they can’t because he’s MCU, one random thought just popped into my head and I now kinda like it: Daniel Craig. I think he’d be a really interesting Doom.

I’m not sure the cyclicality is a strong as you’ve described.

Aanyone who sees a choice between “decline into fascism” and “avoided a recession, controlled inflation, supported unions, and delivered record low unemployment” as no choice at all is an idiot.

You’re welcome to criticize Biden all you want. So am I. If anybody has told you that you shouldn’t criticize Biden, they’re wrong.

The problem is that aside from a few minor verbal gaffes, he has a solid record of doing things that help the country. While Trump is an unhinged dictator wannabe.

They aren’t listening.

I’m old enough to remember when 80% of TDS was just a clip of a Republican saying one thing and then another clip of the same Republican saying the opposite thing, followed by Jon making Confused Dog Sound. He basically *was* Class Clown Rachel Maddow.

Jon delivered that monologue with all the confidence of a rich, straight white male who will be okay no matter who wins in November.

So according to the village dipshits local commenters, we hate Jon Stewart now?

Surprising to me that Comedy Central has leadership in place to care about stuff like who hosts this show.
