Lady Gaga ain’t cheap.
Lady Gaga ain’t cheap.
He did the same thing to Deadspin as far as closing down the entire comment section when they started smack talking him, which he just sold and is no longer part of G/O media.
The original comic version has a parody of Batman halting a asteroid by having sex with it until it explodes. So, yes, the show is a lot deeper and less depraved than the original comic.
So that’s a yes, you just wanna jump onto the internet and argue and fight for arguings sake because Lily didn’t win and didn’t actually watch or pay attention to the movie.
Molly didn’t die broke. She successfully sued to end her guardianship and gained control of her family’s wealth. Ernest and Hale still got busted and went to jail, and despite them being paroled, they both died broke failures and their plans failed. And yes, the FBI agent is the white savior. If it weren’t for him,…
Looks like Deadspin has been finally put out of it’s misery. Sold and all of its remaining staff laid off today. RIP.
Did you actually see Flower Moon? It does end on a happy note and there is a “white savior” in that one too.
If that were true, then how come the white people awarded three Oscars to the uncomfortable slavery movie, 12 Years a Slave?
Did you actually see Poor Things or read the book? It’s hardly “weird sex stuff” unless you’re some kind of puritan.
I think it’s their way to talk about politics and current events news that’s not entertainment without offending the Spanfeller.
This is the thing that many Americans, especially on the right, are in denial of. Our rigorous enforcement of the Monroe Doctrine and everything in between as far as backing the wrong side in civil wars, dictators, on top of our own coups, cartel/drug/gang wars, military invasions, and occupations, and overall…
Considering that Putin and Lukashenko banned Death of Stalin and other parodies of Soviet/post Soviet Russia and seem to be real sensitive to this kind of satire, I can see why they made it fictional.
It’s just that and more that AVClub and it’s commentariat hate Rick and Morty for the most part, so they pretty much ignore the show and scarcely talk about it.
“none of which are offering permanent status or anything close to it.”
There are already 1-2 million Palestinian refugees in camps in Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, each. In fact, nearly all the Gulf states already have sizeable Palestinian populations. Asking them to take on more is out of the question. Also, as Snooder pointed out, they’ve been responsible for political instability in the…
Neither can Chuck Norris, Jessie Ventura, Vinnie Jones, etc, etc, but they aren’t supposed to act. They supposed to look good punching, kicking, and shooting at things, and they pretty much did.
American Made was an action/biopic/comedy. He wasn’t the lead character in Rock of Ages which was a musical. Neither are Oscar worthy prestige dramas. The last pure drama, no action movie he starred in was way back in 2007 with Lions for Lambs and 08 for Valkyrie.
Cruise has though for the reasons that he correctly pointed out. He’s all action and sci-fi flicks now instead of the Oscar bait prestige dramas he used to do back in the 80s and 90s. In fact, he doesn’t do dramas anymore, period. The last movie he did that didn’t involve explosions and gunfire was over 15 years ago.
You can argue and make the same case for Venom as far as being a popular, comic fan favorite with his own titles and everything. The difference is the production values and tone. WB aimed Joker for awards and critical acclaim and got it, whereas Sony doesn’t seem to care about all that and is just cranking out…
