I'm really sorry you had that happen to you.
I'm really sorry you had that happen to you.
...say what? I'm sorry, are you drunk or something? Whaaaat the hell "tough as nails attitude"?
Not really. None of these products are strictly necessary (I'm not talking about for cops. People have tazers, too), but none of them are going to hurt, can help, and can help people feel safer in their lives. Shit happens anywhere, anywhen; the fact that you're going to a bar to drink with friends unfortunately…
You want them to make a collar that shocks men when their penis gets hard or something?
Can't wait till they run a billion dollar company and you're complaining about the lack of female employees a year down the road.
"Once again, female students are subject to the dress code while male students are not even addressed. It's totally unacceptable and very creepy how much Bass is focusing on her female students, singling them out, and making a point to criticize and humiliate the teenage girls."
Yes, they do have to follow the dress code.
You sure are picky with spelling. And either way, a school superindendent's job is to oversee schools. Which she did. So she did do her job (albeit quite bad).
According to the author of this article, one of the problems is actually the dress codes. And I was responding to the article. Soooo.....
Their family could move. Problem solved.
I'm pretty sure men also have certain dress codes they must follow. Guys aren't also allowed to wear short shorts; neither are girls. See? That's fair.
I'm with ya, but then I'm not. The problem is that a lot of young women dress the way they dress not necessarily to be empowered or because it's what they want. They dress that way because of boys (and girls) and because all their friends dress that way. Let's get some better discussions in while their younger by…
I'm replying hoping you get oh of the greys since you're the only other person who seems to understand that these are kids were talking about and the "femenist cannon" mostly doesn't apply here.
That's a nice over generalization but it would be impossible to stay away from these people considering a lot of them are already your friends, employers, relatives, Judges, cops, ect ect.
We'll let me ask you, do you think we are doing our immature, underdeveloped kids a favor by letting them dress like fully sexualized adults with out telling them about the CURRENT VERY REAL social understanding that a person who dresses a certain way will be thought of/treated a certain way?
we'll my principle was a woman. If she were a man telling me this I'd've told him to go fuck himself. Cuz what the fuck does he know.
No one is talking about rape here. This post is about a superintendent enforcing a dresscode for minors by using a distasteful word to get kids to listen to her.
If you've ever actually been to one of these schools and seen these young girls dressing exactly like prostitutes, you'd agree.
I have no information about how big the school district is and how many schools are under her jurisdiction. But busy as she may be, I appreciate that the superintendent is hands on enough to actually visit the schools she's directing instead just enacting policy from behind a desk.
Shoot. No one wore shorts when I was in high school, and short skirts were not in fashion, so that wasn't an issue, either. I don't recall anyone, ever, getting into trouble for a dress code violation, if we even had a dress code.
