Not at all. The streamer Sacriel for instance runs these often and doesn’t participate on either side. He allows his subs to jump in and play each other (subs only to prevent trolls from ruining the game) and he flies around in observer mode ensuring both sides are abiding by the rules. It’s fun to watch.
