@Mixhail That's a new twist: People who hate on Anna Gunn based on her gender and looks aren't sexist, it's those who LIKE Gunn are the real sexists. Yeah, makes total sense.

There were a lot of comments last week at least (probably before) about how Gunn couldn't act, how she was just standing around doing nothing and the show had to use makeup and lighting to make it appear as though she could act. And others have said she was terrible in previous shows and is bad in this one, too.…

The scene with Walt and Walt Jr's cars was absolutely hilarious. Jesse might be an adult playing video games, but Walt is an adult who is trying to fucking LIVE a video game.

Her line reading on that was phenomenal. Anyone else would have said, "For the cancer" (beat) "…to come BACK." Music sting, cut to commercial. But she lifted her voice, was both incredulous and hopeful, and it was terrific.

Oh, I think he cares. Apples are a classic literary metaphor for female sexuality; Walt biting into that apple after telling Marie about Skyler's affair was him gloating, metaphorically saying he had Skyler by the gonads.

It was taken from his own life, but I really felt this time that there was no feeling in it anymore. In a previous season, the advice to Jesse about lies and secrets would have felt like it had direct resonance with Walt's own life, and we would have seen Walt struggling internally with his own memories of mistakes…

Andrea and Brock have definitely seen Walt before, in last season's Crawl Space when he came to Jesse's house. But he didn't make it inside, so maybe they didn't recognize him.

The Anna Gunn hate is absolutely revolting. Clearly, the show didn't do her any favors when they played the "bitch hag wife" stuff early on — they were probably deliberately using the bitch mom trope to foreshadow and parallel Walt's manipulation and lies to make others think Skyler was a bad person, but the trope is…

In a show that spends so much time with symbolism, colors, wardrobe, props, etc. to create layers, I think the fact Lydia has the same long straight dark brown hair that Gretchen (whom Walt was once engaged to) and the principal he hit on is significant. It's possible it's a coincidence, but we have two clear…
