I was coming here to say the exact same thing! And it was a really rape-y song. I was pretty stunned when I saw The Hunting Ground and emailed them directly as well as left a comment on their IG account.

I find your use of the word “trivial” pretty unnerving considering the matter in which R Kelly is a god damn rapists who walked free.

Oh, please. This isn't internalized misogyny. This isn't nit picking her for a wardrobe choice or a thoughtless lyric. She very recently collaborated with a known child rapist. She should absolutely be held accountable for that choice.

She’s never acknowledged that it was wrong to work with a child rapist who profited off his association with her. She needs to if she wants to be a victims advocate.

First off it wasn’t that long ago. It was like two years ago. Second she’s never admitted working with both Terry Richardson and R. Kelly was fucked up and she’s trying to be better. I’ve loved gaga in the past and this is a great video but if she wants to stand with victims she should say something about her choices

People can learn and grow, absolutely. That doesn’t mean seeing MY idol collaborate with someone who is a rapist. I was obsessed with Lady Gaga... I thought everything she did was amazing and supportive of people who were often ignored. Then, I felt like she started capitalizing on the LGBTQI community a little bit

There’s been nothing to suggest that she’s learned from it. She’s still friends with Terry Richardson the rapist who directed the video of that song she did with R. Kelly where the doctor (R. Kelly) in the video was having sex with his unconscious patient.

Yes, people are definitely allowed to make mistakes. But to my knowledge, Gaga has never admitted (at least to the public) that collaborating with him was wrong.

Trivial? Umm, R. Kelly is literally a rapist.

That doesn’t seem like a “trivial” reason to point fingers to me. Can you imagine being one of R.Kelly’s victims, finding this song and thinking that Lady Gaga is on your side only to delve a little further back into her career and finding out she’d worked with your rapist after the whole world knew he was a rapist? I

Do you think she supports rapists?

“Do you think she supports rapists? Really!”

Exactly. AND it was directed by Terry Richardson. *shudder*

I was coming down here to say the exact same thing!!!

And yet she had a hit song with R. Kelly.
