It was considered pretty dark at the time, but it was the first Batman since Adam West and most people weren’t comic readers, so they really didn’t know anything other than Campy Batman and anything would be dark compared to that. There had been various Super Friends cartoons, but they were considered strictly kids

The EGCU (Ed Gein Cinematic Universe) is quite extensive.

When you’re in a horror movie, you make poor decisions.

It’s fair to say that the Gein case influenced Silence of the Lambs as well.

Should really make the Gein entry a double with Texas Chainsaw, which influenced Leatherface and the furniture in the Sawyer’s house.

What does him being black have to do with anything?

Zack Snyder’s Watchmen, James McTigue’s V For Vendetta, and The Hughes Brothers’ From Hell.”

Yeah, it’s weird he doesn’t like three shitty movies. What a crank.

I saw the movie. And this isn’t about liking it or not, this is about the director’s argument in believing Universal/Blumhouse killed the movie by releasing in cinemas and on streaming. I’m agreeing with most of the posts on here. I believe in a case by case basis, and in this case, David Gordon Green points for his

You failed to provide the important information: what was her prior pay? How large a script? Is the $4,000 significantly below industry standard for the number of lines to be performed? Without any actual information, this article is nothing but ragebait.

Except everything else you wrote is irrelevant. Rates in different industries is meaningless, we're looking at this one. Is $4,000 substantially below what would be expected for the number of lines to be performed? That's the only question here, and not even touched on in the article.

Steve Carrell isn’t a good comparison nor is any celebrity who is famous for a non-VA role. Right or wrong, they’re being paid the big bucks because they’re famous for something other than voice acting. Studios believe that having them on-board helps with ticket sales.

Give me something to compare the $4k to, please, because not everyone knows the economics of the voice-actor industry.

Word wasn’t the only thing spreading from people’s mouths at the time.

I mean the fact that there’s not enough time for word of mouth to spread is a problem.

Even though it was nine episodes, each was only a half hour, so we don’t spend as much time with She-Hulk as we do with Falcon and the Winter Soldier in their six hour-ish episodes. If anything, I feel like this finale warranted a longer running time to at least see Jen’s version of the climax played out, which might

My Internet was glitching out and making the show freeze earlier while I was trying to watch so I legitimately thought it going to the Disney+ menu was real.

I liked the 4th wall aspect of Jen re-writing her own ending. It harkens back to Byrne’s run where she would often argue with him about the story which ultimately ended with her throwing him out a window.

Yeah, pointing out that some of the storylines from the previous 8 episodes were bad does not absolve them from being bad. Doesn’t matter how cute and meta it is.

this sums up exactly how i feel too!
