When a fan commented on her Instagram “Can’t wait to see what you’ll be wearing on Oscar night,” Zegler revealed that she won’t be attending the ceremony. She wrote, “I’m not invited so sweatpants and my boyfriend’s flannel.”

Unless...he was the one insisting on not inviting her all along! [Slow zoom, cue music, menacing eyes revealed. Rachel looks shocked. I said “shocked” not “consternated!” Ugh, CUT!]

Absolutely agree - even the old-school circle-strafe nonsense of the original games would’ve been better, because at least it’ll be simpler.

Been playing Shadow Of The Tomb Raider again.

You're legit insane

No, I know. But surely there are better ways to label them viciously without making it about virginity. I get the point of “people who thought they were owed anything”, but as is incel is a bit too broad and does risk of saying people who don’t have sex are lesser.

What about...

Not that I haven’t quite happily used the insult before, and not that that psycho in the other thread doesn’t deserve to be insulted, but I’m starting to wonder when exactly did we internet folks agree that virgin-shaming as an insult is okay? I’ve been seeing some pushback from progressive circles on social media

Chandler Can F*** Himself

This is a fun conversation!

This guy has been going to Marilyn Manson concerts for two decades and knows the fanbase so he's definitely not just showing blind loyalty to a rapist he admires. This is the kind of rape expertise you can only get from seeing news reports about a famous couple's relationship

I offer my condolences.  I know words of comfort or solace can often feel hollow, because words cannot possibly suffice in moments like these.  I hope to continue seeing you on the site as long as it remains a functional place for commenting and discussion.

Agree. That 5 second walk with the mayoral candidate at the funeral didn’t move the needle like Dawes bringing Bruce to Falcone’s nightclub.

Given this is a term paper, I’d like to point out that Riddler’s speech to Batman before the climax isn’t a soliloquy; it’s a monologue, because he’s speaking directly to Batman.

Yeah, the Dark Knight Trilogy is up there in terms of my favorite superhero movies of all time, and I make no apologies for it. But that’s about the limit of how “realistic” I can buy Batman being. I enjoyed The Batman! I enjoyed it a lot. But moments like when Batman leaps off the top of the police HQ building with

Jimmy Olsen backs into Clark and knocks his glasses off.

I also saw it, with an open mind. It was fine, nothing spectacular. It’s a personal story that women can and some who grew up with certain families can relate to. Better than Encanto, imo but I enjoyed Luca more.

Watched the movie tonight with the kids and I can get what the reviews was getting at. The movie does feel like it was written from a very hyper focused perspective and it’s feel different then most American movies.  We enjoyed it well enough but I can see if you are maybe a single white man without kids that there

The main problem is I can’t actually read the original review because it was taken down after backlash.  So I only have small excerpts in other articles to compare to and I didn’t think what the reviewer said was to bad in those snips.  It seemed like Twitter blowing something way out of proportion again.

I did not get to read that review before it got taken down and I have not watched the movie yet(Friday is family movie night with the kids) but from what I have read of the coverage of the review, it sounds like a lot of “You didn’t like a movie about ME, thus you are a RACISTS!!” twitter banter.
