You mean you didn’t see any of (checks IMDB) the 78+ other movies/TV shows that song has shown up in over the past 50 years?

Any specific Marvel trailer, yeah, although maybe No Way Home gets an honorable mention for its first one. But I was referring to this:
That first Matrix trailer introduced me to Jefferson Airplane’s White Rabbit which was great.
MISTER ANDERSON
The way the guy fucks around there could be like a dozen James Bond Jr.’s all over the world.
I don’t know why, but I don’t see James Bond being that concerned about birth control.
But it has to be Bond's nephew, not his son.
This “theory floated by police” is based on countless hours of investigative work and sworn testimony. Funny that you’re still choosing to die on this hill, even partially.
You’d be surprised how stupid criminals are.
Yeah, I think it’s obvious that Roman was abused as a child and it’s equally obvious that all the Roys were too in various ways. They were spoiled, abused, and neglected by turns. That is part of the story of how they each became a different version of a vapid, vicious, and destructive human.
I felt defensive for him after I read the profile. As I remember, nobody claimed he mistreated them or was an asshole. If we blame him for his process, we must also blame his mentor, Daniel Day-Lewis for his well-known similiar process, the one that’s earned him three Oscars and a reputation as one of the greatest…
I think method acting gets a bad rap sometimes: if it’s usually used to play abrasive characters, well, the assumption is that you’re not usually that abrasive, which means you’d have to do something radical to stay in that mindset.
Is it bad that I agree with Strong, and don’t really see “Succession” as a comedy? To me, it has always been a drama with comedic moments, but the entire story is an absurd tragedy.
Isn’t Connor really the only Roy who actually consistently cares about the family? He basically had to be the dad as a kid to his siblings (took them camping). And he’s too inept to be particularly cruel or evil.
Seriously. For one thing, during the shareholder meeting debacle Tom was actually the only person who expressed legit concern about Logan. I think Roman’s take was something along the lines of “can we give him a cranberry juice and ask him again about the deal?” Just because he’s desperate for his father’s approval…
You know what could help avoid this confusion? Write your own fucking song.
Logan despises weakness, and he’s contemptuous (and scared) of mental illness in particular. That’s why he focused on the ‘why’ with Roman, and ‘do you have a problem?’ - it’s not just the pragmatic awareness that this is dangerous behaviour, it’s also the fear that Roman is “screwy”. He’d be OK if it were just Roman…
Succession sorta threw down the gauntlet when it had Roman pull that baseball-check stunt and then expected the audience to carry on watching him as though we didn’t want to cave his skull in with a brick.
Yeah having just gotten out of a sexual harassment scandal only to have another one waiting in the wings for your son is not something I would be okay with. Another commenter said that if it was a random 18-year old he wouldn’t care, but certainly not with a higher-level executive like Gerri.
It’s not clear to me he values the family a lot more than the other Roys. Connor seems to have genuine affection for his siblings and his father, and not to want to hurt any of them (although he has realized this season he has some leverage and is clumsily trying to play it). Ken seems to have plenty…for example he…
“Sorcerer” just sounds cooler, tho amirite?
