I can’t stress enough how meaningful the giraffe scene was in the first game. It’s a beautiful moment, and one of the reasons The Last of Us Part 2 is a lesser work to the original, imo because there’s nothing like that in there. At the end of the day, throughout all the hell, the first story is about optimism. (Which

Something as small as Baron Zemo finally getting his mask was enough for me to feel like Falcon and the Winter Soldier was worth it. Yet Echo couldn’t even be bothered to showcase her defining white facepaint. Here’s hoping Bullseye gets to be Bullseye. There are no guarantees.

Fully agreed. If anything, I really liked the material with Pelphrey and the father in Season 1. And Season 2 was smart to lean in more on Henwick as they prepped her to take over. Jones was ok (I thought he acquitted himself well enough in the fights, on short notice) but Danny was written so terribly, he never stood

They got me. This looks amazing. Bryan and Mike left because they’re jealous they got surpassed!

It’s only 8 episodes, but reportedly, that total runtime will actually be longer than the cartoon’s first season. I’m very curious to see how they work that out.

Yea, the cartoon was first, but hitting the big screen, Cameron’s Avatar was first, which is why M. Night’s movie a year later could only be called “The Last Airbender”

They could always treat it like Stranger Things and just ignore the growth spurts.

I hate the Razzies, but I only clicked to see if Napoleon got acknowledged. I wouldn’t have minded.

Now it’s just shameful that Marvel didn’t cast a real blind actor for Daredevil.

Completely agreed. It’s starts strong, but falls apart as it goes. If she’s going to be redeemed and become good, then actually have her do that. But Echo never sees the error of her ways, shows guilt for her actions, or undergoes personal change. It was more about everyone forgiving her, and the story affirming her

These are the people you’re bending over backwards to applaud for a thoroughly mediocre show?

She’s worked in the industry long enough to know that public critical statements about what happened behind the scenes always has the potential to overshadow a film.

And even if it were, it would be less a race thing, and more about people always needing to get some juicy on-set drama to talk about. This movie is no more special than any other in that regard.

...What is it you think “involuntary manslaughter” means?

You’re Obama’s daughter. So if you make a bad film, it will follow you around.”

where Martin Scorsese himself takes the stage, points at the audience, and essentially says, “We’re all complicit in this crime against the Native American people and guilty of treating it like entertainment.”

She’s been so great on both shows. Hoping for a bright future ahead of her.

I’m satisfied with the ending. Not enough for Indira to do for my taste, but otherwise I think the season (which had its suspect moments) ends strongly. I’m frustrated Whitt went down, but in an “Aw, fiddlesticks!” kind of way. At least they honored his memory with grace.

Ah, very nice connection

Holy crap, Jon Hamm as Dr Doom?! I want it now
