Yep. And I believe the story even starts with our good doctor declining a Nobel Prize, lol

Funnier, scarier, or even more dramatic, it needed... something
When I needed someone to explain what ‘cottage core’ was, that’s when it hit me.
Little Shop of Horrors, are you nuts!! (Calm down Rob, this is a you thing, remember?)
“Kidnap the Santy Claus”, gives me the creeps because of that one kid
They need to look at today’s young horror filmmakers, and give these to them.
I love the random nunchuks hanging out his back pocket
I’ve been as hard on Marvel as anyone, but this isn’t entirely fair. To their credit, there haven’t really been any major crossovers in Phase 4. Unless we count the odd cameo here or there, the closest in the movies comes from Spider-Man’s multiverse event, which is why it felt so special. And that’s still a Sony…
I think #5 is the key point, and it branches out into all the sub-issues that result in problems 1-4. Horror isn’t a mainstream thing, but they are trying to force it by pouring all this money into making these slick and flashy, and in the wrong genres, with the wrong movie stars, when that’s the last thing these need…
but never as, say, just some guy who works the night shift, tries to pay the bills and, occasionally, grabs a “bite” after work.
In the header photo there are two real people standing next to it under the same light- and he’s whiter than both of them
If The Rock wanted to fight Superman so badly, he probably should have just played Lex Luthor. That would have been interesting casting

It can’t be a coincidence that I also thought this.
Big yes to this
Thanks to Nip/Tuck and Popular, it’s not even in his Top 5.
Nice list. I’d add a series, which had a lot to prove in S1, and succeeded, but then still had to live up to expectations while also showing it could stand on its own apart from the movie it was based on. Fargo’s S2 opener was pretty damn audacious...
The thing about game sequels like this, where a criticism can stem from feeling ‘overly familiar’, or ‘unambitious’, makes me wonder if pit stops like releasing a half-sequel beforehand (Miles Morales) doesn’t contribute to that a little. Even if unintentionally. Usually franchises go a little longer before the ‘not…
Three’s Company was a bit before my time, but I enjoyed her on Step-by-Step. From the pilot, she was the stereotypical “organized and responsible wife” trope, but it wasn’t long before they leaned into her sex appeal- which in retrospect, was somewhat unique for a middle-aged mom on TV. Season 1 is a trip because it’s…
