Those connections to our world seems to be the missing ingredient between the good ideas and the basic ones. And even then, the gimmick is a well they’ve gone to too many times. In fact, it’s devolved. Now it’s just: What if the afterlife in Soul is run like the 9-5 corporate businesses we recognize? What if the TVA…
I think their one-word titles are more about being coy/building an air of intrigue around what the movie is. Strangely, they’ve learned pre-release mystique is a big part of the Pixar brand.
A movie to my surprise, I really liked
That Top 10 isn’t exactly inspiring, anyway.
Not a great show, but it had its charms. I really liked the casting of his parents. His mom especially, and I hope that lady finds more work because she seems so sweet.
Yea, and Randall Park was more or less disappearing because he had nothing to do.
I ended up liking both Pet Sematarys. Well “like” might be the wrong word, but I don’t hate em, they’re ok.
I agree, but these days, spending an entire season to build up to the thing everybody knows is how so many shows operate, that I can’t fully blame Perry Mason for doing the same. I think their fatal mistake is a lot more fundamental, and ironically, Rhys lays it out as praise:
Which has made the company parties more and more awkward!
I don’t think anybody wants anyone harassed. All this proves is that it was naive to think Lasseter didn’t matter or was replaceable. It’s not an endorsement of his behavior to simply point out the noticeable drop now that he’s gone.
And most importantly, “What will you do for me in the future?” I’ve seen employees who think they’re unfireable because of the one great thing they did decades ago.
I’d watch all of these. Warts and all. I’m addicted to the world of this show. The atmosphere of it. The positive energy. I still need it. It’s only been a few days, since ending, and shopping around, the tv landscape is a bleak and bitter one.
I think the niceness is vital, it’s just that niceness doesn’t mean anything without being challenged. And as you so well put, the writers were afraid to challenge the characters. Most conflicts amounted to everyone working on being happy with themselves
Doesn’t it? I think Love and Thunder diminishes Ragnarok quite significantly. It’s the type of bad sequel that makes me reflect on the director’s earlier traits.
The trouble is finding a way to fit in Gun N Roses organically.
Meetings for Spider-Man 4, eh? Hmm. What to do, what to do...What if- and hear me out- He’s actually in a movie with Venom this time? Morbius, Kraven... Sony for some reason thinks they can keep this up.
Funnily, there’s an episode that addresses this, and Jack Harlow cameos. They have beef for exactly this reason. The show is low-key genius at this sort of stuff, lol.
I haven’t watched any, but what have these Walking Dead spinoffs been up to? I presume their “universe” has its own established rules about traits they do and don’t have? I’m asking because the Dead City trailer features an amorphous monster made up of a blob of a zombies... which is not something they should be able…
Daredevil built a great tradition for itself with these. How many comic book shows can say that?
