Sounds like the BAFTAs has been getting it more right for years.

I also think Child’s Play 2 is better than the original. In fact, I think it’s the best in the whole series.

I’m sorry to know the ending has been spoiled for you. As a gamer, one of the things I was most curious about going into this series was how well our community would be able to stay mum on things for new viewers. My point of reference, of course, is the Song of Ice and Fire book readers being thoughtful to TV Game of

Best of the Best is framed around an Olympic karate/tae kwon do showdown between the United States and Korea. The team aspect makes it unique to other sports fight scenes. Eric Roberts is topped-billed, so he gets a big match, but the more emotional climax is in the final bout between Tommy (Phillip Rhee) and Dae Han,

Tom Cruise’s running: Yay or nay?

You ain’t his Yale professor!

A real shame for Dalton especially. Imagine if GoldenEye was his third! Wow

Came to say the same. Looks like it’s rentable on Amazon and AppleTV

Top Gun, Avatar 2, EEAAO, and maybe Elvis I’d qualify as the ‘fun’ ones, though the last two can get dour towards the end. Absolutely stay away from Banshees of Inisherin, and Western Front. Misery is the point. Triangle of Sadness and The Fabelmans are a little trickier. I wouldn’t recommend either, but both of them

My memory of it is from my Uncle’s when I was babysat, and it might have been my earliest experience of adaptation disappointment. Kept waiting for something, anything in this to be like the cartoons.

I was really let down by Public Enemies. Shooting it digitally didn’t help either. I’ll always have that pretty great trailer, though. Love the music they used

I actually agree with most of the list. But for these 3 directors, the worst movies I’ve watched from each has been

Yea, it really doesn’t compare to the classic show. That point of reference will probably affect how the movie lands for folks.

I think last fall’s season was the best they had in a long while. And spoilers for the finale, but the reaction on arrogant Cassidy’s face when she didn’t win was amazing. That will be one of my favorite moments ever.

1. That trailer spoils all the best parts!

The flashbacks can be interesting, even fun, like the idea of Ellie going to the principal, which I really liked. But I’ve rarely found them necessary, compared to what’s supposed to be the urgency of the main plot.

I’m less enthusiastic about the flashbacks. Henry and Sam’s was fine, but the first with Sarah was an early indicator that the show’s pacing would be... slower than I anticipated. I mention my thoughts on Ep 2's flashback in another comment, but I want to talk about the crux of my issue. Outside of some of episode 4,

I agree, and here’s why I think this matters: The lack of zombies has directly undermined how dangerous this world is supposed to feel. In retrospect, it’s why the flashback with the medical expert in Episode 2 doesn’t work at all. She was so distraught by what she learned, she literally suggested bombing society was

Seeing The Green Knight is one of the reasons I’m concerned. It’s comparable to M. Night Shyamalan, doing The Last Airbender. How is someone who made that the right fit for something like this?

Heat maps! Now that’s how to use your data! I’m amused at the idea that in researching this, someone basically had to be a weatherman for asses.
