Marco was an arrogant prick and thought Kevin was a weak piece of crap. So of course he wouldn't hesitate to turn his back on him.

John used a key to access the drawer. It was locked.

He looked so ill that I wondered if that was why he was killed off so quickly during season one.

I felt Kevin did exactly what was called for in the situation re: killing Marco. If we want to question the credulity of the plot, it's that Kevin went to Marco to confess in the first place. That said, I loved this season. Wasn't sure I would at first, but it really got under my skin.

While I probably shouldn't admit this, I was happy when Kevin did what he did. As screwed up as the Rayburns are, Marco was no better. A dirty, ambitious, and often arrogant cop. The seething pleasure he took in telling Kevin to fuck off revealed his true character. And damn, Kevin, for once in his life lost control

Regardless, Robert was an asshole. That he raised a family of assholes should be no surprise.

Wow. While I think John is completely screwed up, I don't think his roadside rant was inaccurate at all. Both Meg and Kevin wanted Danny gone and Kevin, as John says, made it pretty clear that killing him was what he had in mind. But their culpability was always more passive aggressive, coaxing John, as always, to
