This is yet another wonderful example of how cops think. They think they’re never wrong. They don’t actually care if they have the right guy or not. They’ll just take the guy’s insistence that it wasn’t him that he’s lying, but they’ll make it stick. And an innocent motorist will get screwed.

A close friend of my now-ex-wife, whom I used to think was a pretty okay guy, came into some money a couple years ago. He could have bought any reasonably-priced car he wanted (say, $50k or under). What does he buy? A Camry Hybrid. At that point, I lost every last ounce of respect I had for him.

When first announced, I wanted one of these bad. The Trailhawk model. But it ended up costing $3-5k more than expected. $30k is too much for this thing. I don’t care if it’s $10k cheaper than a Cherokee Trailhawk.

I’m with “Frisky Dingo” on his assessment. I’m only a consumer on the outside who has been observing GM for years. They do business like the government — in ways that make no sense whatsoever.

I like the Renegade, but a Trailhawk is nearly $30k, which puts it $4-5k more than it should have been... fortunately I’m not really in the market for a car, so I’ll just grip about it. :)

I finally wised up a few years ago and eliminated most of my debt. All that’s left is the RV that I live in. When that’s done, I’ll be doing something like this, but more likely on my DR650. I’d say it’s as simple as the Ruckus, but more comfortable and can carry a bit more. :)

So basically this car is an AWD, wagon version of the Toyota Camry — hopelessly boring. I could tell by looking at it. Plus while I dislike automatics in general, to me a CVT is just a horrible joke being played on us by the automotive industry.
