I haven’t been able to get into movies from India. I’ve watched a little here and there, but they always seem overly dramatic. When they do the superhero landing (I’m okay with that) they always seem to watch the ground for an ungodly amount of time. Like, hey, I’m cool, I’m still cool, and yet I’m cooler because I

We can all talk about AA being evil and all that, and while I certainly don’t side with airlines (especially as a hyper frequent flier) but can we all agree the parents are truly idiots here? All minors flying alone get registered with the airline and they do extra checks to ensure that the kid gets on the plane and

Tickets were way more money back then too, if you fly in the nice cabins and go to the lounges and all that jazz flying can still be a nice experience. But we as a society decided we don’t care for the frills we want the cheapest possible seat and here we are.

Airplane tickets were *wildly* more expensive back then. It’s not even remotely comparable. Adjusted for inflation, coach tickets cost considerably more than first class tickets do today. A LOT more.

it got worse because it got cheaper like everything else. if flying was still more expensive it wouldnt be nearly as bad. now theyre just city buses that fly. and there are idoits who try to argue that they have the right to fly and its not fair and yadda yadda.  they can rekindle americas love for the road trip.  see

It’s likely supply/demand. More people want to fly direct so they price those higher.

The civilized mores for air travel have been swapped out for lower prices.  It once wasn’t uncommon at all to meet someone who had never been on a plane due to the expense.  Not so much these days.

This all started when it was cheap enough for the poors to fly /s...but maybe true?

Back in those days, the airlines had far less competition and way less overhead. Even though the actual adjust cost of the tickets was not all that much higher back then, the airlines had a much healthier profit margin and could afford to give folks a luxury experience. Now, fuel costs and taxes probably account for

It does become a security issue however when a passenger becomes unaccounted for in the airport. If they are on a late connection and miss that flight, they are accounted for. Just up and bailing out on the flight plans though? Where is this person? Are they going to come up to the counter later hoping to catch a

Agreed, although it isn’t a catalyst for weight loss, substitution of diet over sugar will aid in an overall weight loss strategy for individuals who previously consumed the sugar/high fructose... variants.

I appreciate the clear break down of this, as there are so many fear mongers that for decades have acted like Aspartame will kill you. I know at least half a dozen people’s who’s health, energy, and weight changed dramatically after switching from sugar soda to diet - myself being one of them. So even though WHO might

Dramatization:

I think they’re referencing buffet-style food where everyone is touching the same serving utensils to put food on their plates.

both ends at once, like a quasar.

If you’re eating at the buffet, you’re sharing service implements with everyone in front of you on the food line.

Think of it as an aggressive way to lose weight!

As someone who has experienced the thrills of Norovirus’ uncontrollable dual evacuations so far twice in life, neither case having been cruise-related, I assure you that you do not want to contract it even once.

Yum, buffets with a side of crippling vomiting and diarrhea. Thanks for reminding me to never cruise!
