Giving cash can still be thoughtful, if the thought is “you know better than I where to shop; if I gave you a gift card it would probably be for the wrong store.”

“[Young people] are high-minded because they have not yet been humbled by life, nor have they experienced the force of circumstances.

They think they know everything, and are always quite sure about it.”

Specials exist because there are are always customers who ask “do you have any specials?”

When Gunn showed up, I was racking my brains to figure out where’s I had seen him before. Took me awhile to recognize him as an Observer from Fringe.

(pssst... Gary Lockwood)

“Look who finally decided it was time to roll out of bed!”

FWIW, it’s scoring 75 at Metacritic.

Not a bad idea. Alternatively, what works for me is to keep my phone in an inside jacket pocket.

I like ketchup on leftover, cold mac-n-cheese.

Perhaps the original actor was unavailable, or was not interested in doing a brief voice-over, who knows. Also, it was just a dream sequence anyway so I don’t think a different actor violates continuity.

Easter egg: That was Robert Picardo as the museum audio guide, “Dexter Myles”. (Confirmed in the end credits).

This. Similarly, when you are having trouble hearing a conversation, say something like “excuse me but could you please repeat thator “pardon me I didn’t quite get that”.

I thought the sliding scale was still used too, but this article from a few years ago says it fell out of fashion after some theatre chains went bankrupt.

The “sliding look” with the split screens, moving frames, etc, were an homage to the similar techniques used in the Woodstock documentary movie (1970).

These shortcuts are kind of cool, but I think I will just stick with pressing the Power button 5 times to disable Touch ID. This is easier than a shortcut, as you can do it without even looking at the phone.

You can set limits on specific apps. Tap on the cumulative screen time graph, to display the time broken down into categories. Tap Show Apps & Websites. Tap on an app you want to limit. Scroll down and tap Add Limit...

You don’t need 3D Touch to access the Contol Center expandable buttons. Long press works too. I noticed this on my old (non-3D Touch) iPhone 6 recently).

Stay on the right side of the path except to pass. (Or stay on the left if you are in a left-handed driving country). Please don’t be “that person” who feels they are special and can use whatever side of the path they feel like today. WTF. Why do people do this? So irritating to see one of these special cases

“I’m sorry, but your crabs have super-herpes.”
