But how can the board members get killed if you can’t get hurt in Westworld? How does being sentient change if a bullet can kill you or not. This is the most maddening thing about the show. They never get into the rule about whether its the host, type of bullet, or programming of the world that can hurt you.

How does the rule change that guest’s can now get hurt? Ford never mentions that he changed any rules. Sentience shouldn’t all of the sudden make bullets work.

Can someone please explain how the guests can’t get hurt in the park but all of the Delos exec’s and Robert can be murdered? How does having sentience have anything to do with whether or not a bullet can hurt you?
