Because most stand-up comedians aren’t attempting to clout-up and parlay that into being the face for certain movements OR, if they do, they’re open about the fact that they’re making up details.

I didn’t finish it. :0 I enjoyed jumping back into that world and a lot of the nerdy heavy fantasy stuff, but pretty much every character in the show was so boring. I almost would have preferred a straight up nature or history documentary set in that world to the characters we got.

I really like Gosling’s delivery on the “I’m honestly not sure line”. Doesn’t oversell it.

I think it makes total sense. Kids don’t care about Barbie anymore, but every single one of my girl friends and acquaintances (all late-80s and early 90s), myself included, are super excited about this, coming from a woman our age with another one as the face of it, which gives us trust that they share our experiences…
