This is unrelated to your point, but rinsing dishes before putting them in the dishwasher drives me nuts. Scrape them clean and put them in. I’ll rinse them if we ate fish and won’t run the dishwasher that night or tomato-based stuff since it can kick up and stain plastic in the top shelf. I rarely have a dish come

Ovi slashed Sid, hit him in the head with his stick, and kicked his left skate out. Watch the reply.

That ref is a real Hard Target. I wonder what would have happened if the game went into Sudden Death.

Uhh, I was responding to that other dude that pretty much said you can do whatever you want on your property, neighbors be damned. I never commented on the neighbor’s conduct. The neighbor should’ve been direct with David if they had a problem. I’ve found that many people don’t like confrontation, which seems to be

Fair enough. David seems like a good dude, if a little oblivious at times. I still wouldn’t want him as a tenant and doubt he will leave the property in the shape he found it (garage floor/driveway, kitchen floor, dishwasher, backyard, and everything else secondary to his wrenching).

And if there is one thing David can be counted on for, it’s spending a lot of money and doing things the right way.

That’s the thing, though. You don’t get to determine what bothers someone or what is disrespectful to someone. There are reasonable norms for where you live. Making reasonable accommodations to your neighbors is a nice thing to do, even if you think it’s stupid. There are ridiculous people with ridiculous demands

Dude, complying with the law (most, anyway) is the minimum standard for decency, not a high-water mark for treating your fellow humans and neighbors with respect.

Isn’t FICA tied to a benefit, which is also capped? Why not just raise the marginal tax rates?

Let me be clear about this: an email is not a contract. While putting the price in writing puts some level of obligation on the part of the dealership, they are not legally required to honor that quote once you arrive.

I always have to remind my mom about the loosening lever. She doesn’t strap the kids in that often though. It’s so much harder getting them in and out without loosening the straps.

Semi-secret part of the seat? Doesn’t everyone use that lever to loosen the straps every time you get your kid out. After getting my kid in the seat and pulling the strap to tighten the strap, I almost always grab the plastic chest clip and pull it to make sure the straps are tight enough. If the cam lock for the

TurboTax (and other software, presumably) specifically provides advice on how do reduce your tax burden, how to avoid paying AMT, how to properly handle business losses, etc. So they definitely advise on how to do things differently in the future. They also have forums, chat service, etc. to provide assistance. In

TurboTax obviously can’t get specific, but neither can your Mom, most likely. TurboTax does ask specific questions about whether business expenses were incurred and whether they’re deductible. They also also if you have an investment account that you didn’t receive tax forms from. Most tax professionals don’t know

Perhaps a trust for the benefit of the children would make sense. The trust could be identified as the contingent beneficiary. A little added security that the money would go where it’s supposed to.

Shia genocide. You might want to research it.

Selective outrage? You have no idea if I was outraged or not over the ban on Cuban refugees. But, but, but, that guy did something bad too. I don’t care about partisan politics. Is the action right or wrong? You are allowed to condemn more than one action by Republicans and Democrats.

The genocide includes Muslims. Your position is anti-American and unpatriotic. If you don’t like America, you should leave.

Thanks for the correction. By the way, I get why you think this will make us safer. I obviously disagree. Even if this did make us safer by some percentage, my concern is the increasing ceding of freedoms and moving towards a more authoritarian government in the name of safety and protection of U.S. citizens. I

Anti-american, unpatriotic, unconstitutional act that should be condemned for what it is.
