Of course, the replacement refs are another HUGE issue. I couldn't give a fair assessment about NHL refs, because I just started following the sport seriously a few years ago. Looking at the NBA, MLB, and NFL, I still stand by my opinion, that NFL refs are the best. You are entitled to your opinion.

Just from the shot video, it seems the Umpires was extremely unprofessional. I've said it before, but in my opinion, MLB Umps are the worst Professional Officials. NFL referees are by far the best. As for the Holiday incident, you have kids a few seats away, and this ass is playing Mr. Tough Guy. I think of all

I think Iglesias will be huge for the Tigers, with reports from Yahoo Sports that everyone (Except A Rod) on the Biogenesis list is going to take a 50 game suspension by the end of the week. They would need to replace Peralta. Peavy, in my opinion, is past his prime, and I have doubts about how much he will help the

Thanks for the nice reply. You bring up the good point.

I also agree that they seem to have made a huge mistake with so many extra channels. I have the DISH 200 channel package, and there are at least 5-6 ESPN channels. I watch the MLB network more then the original ESPN.

I can see the appeal to 22 year olds, though I doubt that they would get many (If any) of the Pop Culture references. I don't care, he justs annoys me, but I am easily annoyed! He seems like a nice enough guy. Did you the full coverage they give this guy though? It like a big deal. We are not going to agree on this.

Simmons can write what he wants. My point is that I think his writing lowers the quality of journalism. If people like him, thats cool. He is harmless to me, but when I say harmless about a writer, that means I see no value or have little respect. The two best books I have read this year are Murder City, by Charles

I think this is a very good move for Detroit. Jennings had the misfortune of having to play with Monta Ellis. Detroit good use some good news.

Most guys would list Goodfellas, Donnie Brasco, The Godfather, Full Metal Jacket, Bad Lieutenant (Both) as their go to favorite guy movie. Bill Simmons, just posted a column saluting Midnight Run, in a column that references The Breakfast Club, Fatal Attraction, and Coming to America. Just my opinion, but Bill

It seems issues according to this article. Lazy, ungrateful players, combined with a coach that has anger issues. I am sure it will work itself out.

If they gave awards for the funniest Headline/Column, this one would be framed in the hall of fame,

Does chlorine kill the clap (Or at least not make it contagious?)

Where's Tony Montana when we need him?

As an old guy nearing 50, I appreciate this story. I know Jason has taken flack for using steroids, but he admitted it, and acted like a Man, unlike a certain BO SOX slugger (JMO!!). I would like him when he retires to find some work for a team as maybe a hitting instructor. Thanks for the story.

Thanks for the nice post. Should be epic series. Yanks are lucky to have Girardi! I think the AL East has 2 of the best skippers in baseball, with Girardi and Maddon. I am big fans of Terry Francona and Bud Black as well. Good Luck, and I think the Soriano trade was very smart.

With Nicholas Cage playing a demented, coked up Ranger Smith!

I found out the post is from the Yahoo Contributers Network. It was a "What If" type of story, where the writer gets paid for how many views they get. I wrote a few stories for Yahoo like that. There is NO way I think that trade would happen, because its too one sided for Texas, and I doubt Nathan wants to be demoted

Kudos!! This is why I love Deadspin!! You guys think outside the box, and this is very unique, and entertaining. Keep up the good work.

I should have clarified that my position has changed. Sorry. Yahoo (I think) had a story about Eithier possibly being traded to Texas for Joe Nathan. It sounds good in a way, since the Dodgers are top heavy in the outfield, and people seem to think Andre can't hit lefties anymore, BUT would Nathan want to come over

Hi Nate,
