Yes he did. We just dodged a major bullet with Pruitt being out - and this snip about Sessions brings it into great focus.

It was a typical ill conceived plan on Drump’s part anyway. Given there are currently 18? different federal investigations ongoing against Pruitt. Many of which are being conducted by arms of the - Sessions run justice department.

.......except Trump would have had to appointed him AG before he quit the job he had been Senate confirmed for. And of course, after creating the vacancy in the first place by firing Sessions (which the Repubs in the Senate have already said they would not allow).

The thing is, a plot with this much misery is not sustainable without some measure of -hope -interspersed. It doesn’t have to be comparable..there just has to be some - and there is none at all.
