Phyllis (or as my dad called it SyPhyllis) was actually really funny. Leachman was just a very talented comedian and actress overall.

It is hilarious to watch a man who would easily be picked by most as the “least likely person to inspire any personal loyalty”..on the planet, freak out about the fact that absolutly no one has any personal loyalty to him.
