Given the general reactions I’ve seen around the net the last 24 hours, I don’t think that’s the case this time. I also don’t think it’s purely homophobes or gamergaters either. The first game resonated emotionally with a lot of people and it’s hard to watch characters you grew to love outright suffering.
“Despite the occasional tilting of this portrait, Spider-Man’s story and world were not a representation of the kind of New York that exists outside the TV screen.”
The California Condor would be extinct if not for zoos. Instead, it has a growing wild population.
I understand what you mean about zoos being problematic, especially since they were started in an era of white supremacy/imperialism and haven’t always been great about giving animals good environments. But they do do a really important job in keeping species alive that we humans may otherwise have killed off into…
Nailed it.
There will absolutely be games that look like this. There are games now that are 80% of this already.
Wow, I’ve seen some REALLY stupid comments today but you might win the award for the dumbest. Congratulations.
i’m gonna level with you, crisis core isn’t that good. combat-wise, it’s fun, and the stuff that directly ties into the OG, like Zack’s final stand, is nice. the soundtrack’s really good at times. but the majority of the writing is pretty piss, and revolves around there being a bunch of other characters who do the…
There’s definitely people complaining about that aspect, not gonna lie, but that’s just par for the course nowadays, but based on the leaks I’ve read, a lot of the OTHER complaints are completely valid. Assuming the leaks are all real, it looks like Naughty Dog is actively trying to piss off fans of the first game.
Word of warning: as someone who also thought this was just idiots complaining about progressiveness, if those leaks are real, the game’s plot is just awful.
If those leaks are real, - and I hope they aren’t - I am definitely sitting this one out.
I’m on the side of “TL0U” didn’t need a sequel. That ending was perfect as is.
Yeah, my Twitter TL was filled with the stuff. Which is okay, because I was never going to play this. I’m on the side of “TL0U” didn’t need a sequel. That ending was perfect as is.
I’m a weirdo. When I play the original I always take the stairs, then go down through all the floors to get items (thus ruining the entire point of sneaking in via the stairs)
My only regret was that I thought there was actually some treasure chests if you did so.
My favorite part of the whole thing is how Tifa absolutely DESTROYS the two of them, they make it clear as Cloud that you have no chance of catching up to her, shes just gone after the first 10 floors.
We paid to experience the story that we love. Not to have it rewritten. Especially not by people who made all the dull spin offs.
I say this constantly, the ending and this project are now bound by the next game. This will either be legendary for elevating and re-invigorating a classic, or infamous for blowing a sure thing.
The fact time travel(or as the game puts it: “changing fate/destiny” nice FF13 logic) is involved means Toriyama and Nomura are walking on hot coals. This also implies the most memorable moments that come at a later time are given free reign to be changed - by the player or the writers.
