FPV drones carry two cameras. A GoPro or equivalent and an analog camera. The analog camera feed is then fed back at 5ghz to the FPV goggles.

Using the GoPro’s feed would not work well because of the latency increase.

Once you are done flying you use the GoPro’s footage to make the video.

I think this is the most common configuration you will see the aircraft in. When you’re pummeling a force like ISIS you aren’t worried about sophisticated ADS or enemy fighters.
