I wish he would as well, however, she isn’t seeking to press charges.  She just wants a settlement.  That is not typical of assault victims.  So, while I don’t disbelieve her... I have some skepticism.

I understand why you would say that about her statement, but what she is describing is actually a very real problem that many people experience.  Sure--she could just be making excuses, but if this is something that she actually does struggle with, I respect the choice to seek appropriate help.

That does not in any way make them inadmissible, and the same would be true if he admitted them in a civil proceeding.  He has already opened himself up to that by filing his claim and attaching the texts as exhibits.... I’m not familiar with Texas law, but while it’s ugly, “invasion of privacy” under these facts…
