He was not “released without bail.”  He may not have posted any cash, and may have been released on his own recognizance, but there is no such thing as being released without bail.  You are either held without bail, meaning you cannot post any amount of money to secure your release, or you are released on bail/bond…

Just here again to complain about the poorly written coverage of legal proceedings at Jezebel.  Daniel Meyer is NOT the victim’s attorney.  He is the prosecutor.  Victims have rights in criminal cases, but they do not have an attorney/client relationship with the prosecutor.

Agreed. Imagine if we brought up everyone’s worst takes over the course of their lifetime when they died.  It’s gross.

This writing is just lazy.  The roommates didn’t write or sign an affidavit.  It is a probably cause affidavit signed by an investigating officer in order to obtain an arrest warrant.  Please do better.
