If he got 3.5 millions for cards. He probably have another 1 to pay a good lawyer and get a good part of that money back

I see nothing wrong with Toyota implementing this model. Hopefully it will be better than all the certified pre-owned bullshit where they you’re lucky if the dealership even washed the car.

Yes, but value added, especially in this era that now we have to worry about wireless network upgrades causing integral features to stop working.

I don’t see how this is the county’s fault. It’s pretty basic knowledge that you don’t leave your vehicle in a snowstorm. Sounds like the family is lashing out because they don’t want to recognize their son/brother made a poor choice. Sad stuff for sure

I will never agree to that, sorry Rivian. I think your trucks are cool though.

Nope, I’ll never buy a car that has subscription based features if I can possibly help it.

Hey, Rivian -

The gift that keeps giving! The purchase that keeps costing!

Realistically people had to know this was coming, no? I mean, did we really think electric cars were going to make car ownership cheaper? They will just look for other ways to get your money.

and a monthly subscription plan for infotainment, connectivity, diagnostics, and other services

I saw a R1T up close yesterday. It’s awesome, especially for someone who actually goes off-road: great ground clearance and fording depth, full-size spare, flat underbody. But $15K for subscriptions? Not awesome.

Unless the vehicle is free, subscription models are insulting. If you want to charge me for software updates, fine, but don’t nickel and dime me because you’re not getting the parts and service revenue.

Learning that the train’s damage was mostly from vandalism and not from sitting was the saddest part. Images as recent as 2019 show it to be in mostly complete condition. Apparently, it gained some unfortunate popularity after people on social media posted its coordinates.

I cannot understand what goes through people’s heads when they steal from things like this. If I found this in the woods in pristine condition, stealing parts off from it wouldn’t even cross my minds.

Disagree - my parents bought a Winnebago Travato (based on a RAM Promaster) and it’s great!

Generally, yes. I did buy a very small teardrop’esque trailer this year after thinking about it for years and so far so good. However, it has only the most rudimentary of electric system and zero plumbing/heating/cooling of any sort.

Totally agree! If he doesn't respect other people’s lives why should we respect his?

Although, I am not a pacifist, I wish I could star this several times. When anyone disregards other lives so callously, they should lose all rights of their own for 20 minutes chained to a chair where surviving victims or decedent’s families can do whatever they want to them—want to yell, fine, want to skin them
