Interestingly, you rarely are actually committed to buying a vehicle you custom order. You can order a custom f-150 and then walk on it.

That’s the wrong take as the problem here isn’t holding the humans up to the AI’s expectation of perfection. The AI is unable to realize that looking at your mirror IS safe driving just like Tesla AI can’t recognize a firetruck parked in the middle of the road.

AI in general is all about “Over-promise, under-deliver”.

This is sort of the opposite of the AI driving threads logic. People expect those AI driving systems to work perfect but here the drivers cant be held to perfection when the AI system expects it.

This is 100% false. these markups are not nickle and dime for a big chain at all. they have scale so multiply that $5-10k extra profit for all of their allocations and its tons of money.

The two are not mutually exclusive reasons to implement a shoddy solution. They can reduce insurance costs AND dick drivers out of rightfully earned bonuses. Win Win!

I would not pay $50K for a Bronco. There are a lot of great used cars for that price instead. SeeYa!

When you try to trade in a stick, dealers lowball you because “demand for manuals is low.”

That will garner an extra markup because it’s even more of a special order

i dont think there is a ‘bad’ configuration of the bronco that would deter a buyer right now...

And as long as the franchise model enjoys monopoly protection against direct-to-consumer sales, nothing will.

On one hand, it makes total sense that he’s gotten a lawyer and to have them represent you.

Did you commit a crime? Don’t talk to cops without your legal representation present. Ever.

Apparently they also crossed paths with two other people who went missing, he’s allegedly made edits to her Instagram posts to make their trip seem more dangerous presumably to make an accident look more likely, and he had also been reported to be reading a book about traveling the country in a van and killing

Great video.  I’ve seen it before, but totally worth posting again.

Now playing

I agree that this looks SUPER bad for him, but in his position I would 100% not talk to the police either. There are zero upsides and many, many, many downsides.

My wife and I are planning on travelling full time starting in 2023. We originally were going to use a van but I decided we needed a bit more room. An RV is too big (and they are built like crap even the high-end ones) so we are going for something in the middle. I’m currently shopping for a Freightliner M2 Ambulance

so, another case of cute blond girl goes missing is national news.

meanwhile when was the last time a girl/woman of color’s murder/disappearance was national news if she wasn’t shot by a cop for having the audacity to shop at the grocery store.

they were starting one but I think they only have one video. moab is full of vans and buses with “follow our adventures at @/# yada yada”

If the police ever want to interview you for something where there’s even the remotest chance you could be a suspect, you need to lawyer up. Cops are interested in clearing cases and naming suspects for DA”s to charge, not necessarily in getting to the truth.
