As much as i loved President Roslin she really was just as bad as Trump, maybe even worse. She tried to rig a damn election.
When Kara said to James “You don’t seriously think she did it, do you?” I really wanted him to ask if there was a good reason why he shouldn’t.
And Yossarian.
I’m saying 92%. He obviously loves being back to cultural relevance, it’s not like Harrison Ford where he’s obviously just sort of putting up with everything
My young daughter used to fire up Burnout Paradise and pretend she was dropping her kids off at school, then driving to work. She obeyed all traffic laws. It was infuriating to watch.
It’s very loud, and very aggressive. I plan on writing in my next installment about how there’s some real artistic merit to the kind of narrative whiplash these games pull off by going at everything at this raised pitch, but I can definitely see how it would be exhausting.
As to the combat, all that I can say is it…
Is this what you’re thinking of? And yeah, it’s a great read: http://theoriginalfan.blogspot.com/2013/06/when-thing-became-john-carpenters-thing.html
“There’s a whole half of Middle-Earth we haven’t even explored yet”
And I’ve never, ever wanted this exploring to be done by game developers with licenses. I was fine with Peter Jackson adapting Tolkien’s books into film, not only because “adapting” is different from what these game developers are doing, but because…
Eh, it’s not Gollum’s fault. LotR games need to stop shoving significant characters into cameos like they’re peddling tchotchkes at a souvenir shop. I enjoyed Shadow of War, but I hope future creative efforts in Tolkein’s world take a Knights of the Old Repbulic approach and set it either too far into the past or the…
Should’ve made him into a sexy woman like Shelob. Tolkien didn’t say he couldn’t transform into a sexy woman. Could’ve got Amanda Siegfried to play her or something.
It’s pretty obvious that Dracula is a commentary on the Gold Standard.
“You gotta be fucking kidding!”
“It’s a high watermark of the pre-CGI era”
The one thing I don’t like about John Carpenter’s The Thing is that we never get to see Wilford Brimley fly that tiny spaceship, which would have been both awesome and totally hilarious.
We just did this in one of my classes. They loved Carpenter’s The Thing and I had forgotten how well-acted it is. The novella is a good, fun, read; it lacks any real heft, but you won’t regret having read it. The Hawks’ produced film is a bore and it betrays the central premise of the story, so skip that.
Believe me, if there had been one on the CW’s press website, I would have.
Those child actors, man. They’re really good. That’s not easy to find, and I can understand why they don’t want to break up the band.
I agree, although I don’t blame them for pivoting. For whatever reason people are really unforgiving of anthology series, and with hype like they got from the first season there’s no way people wouldn’t be disappointed.
