The Magicians got mired down in a weird Oglaf homage for most of last season and the other plotlines felt like a lot of busywork, so I’ve not got great hopes going into season 3 but I’ll probably check it out anyway. I just wish they give the cast something better to work with, because everyone on the show is great.

Yeah. I’m hoping that the fact that Fitz is not happy about being good at shooting people, because of the memory of how he got those skills, will also mean it’ll become more of a “Fitz will do this if absolutely required but otherwise would be much happier in the lab, thank you very much” situation.

While I still find it a little odd he would go for a swim in his skin suit and then remove it to take a shower (doesn’t he just need to rinse the chlorine off it, then?)

LMD Fitz would actually be a really cool way to do it.

You and I have very different ideas of what qualifies as a “silver lining,” GJI.

Losing an arm/hand is so passé. And Luke already has that covered anyway, so short of Darth Edgelord cutting his own hand off so he can more accurately cosplay as grandpa, it’s gotta be something new.

How many edges does a lightsaber have? I think everyone just assumes it’s more of a cylinder – or at least, I did – but that might just be the glow fuzzing out the actual edges. That it seems able to cut regardless of which part of the surface is applied would seem to imply that there’s not actual need for an edge,

I think she’s just looking because that’s the only way she can get any information on what’s going on at all - even without hearing anything, she could still observe a lot about Kasius’ relationship with the other Kree, from body language, etc.

- Yeah, no way Deke isn’t still on Daisy’s side - seeing her powers for the first time meant he finally saw a way for things to change. He just thought getting out in front of her screw-up was the best way to keep that possibility from disappearing, I guess.

While from a viewer perspective it’s commendable that they’re moving the story along, it does seem like some uncharacteristically bad decision-making that the team is needlessly rushing things so much. Maybe being fresh out of the Framework has them too riled up to bother doing proper undercover work...

Well, there’s always that Bull Durham musical to fall back on, I suppose.

Ha! I read this on twitter before it got here. I win again, GJI!

Well, A) Yes, and it sucked, and it’s pervasive, so confirming that it is, in fact, actually total bullshit being peddled by creeps is massively satisfying.

That... actually sounds good.

I haven’t read the details on the allegations against Franken so I can’t speak to how serious a situation it is in that regard, but from a purely political standpoint, it seems like they just can’t afford to do anything else at this point, rather than a case of shooting themselves in the foot. Not in terms of some

Anyone who says they would turn down being paid to voice Detective Pikachu is a goddam liar.

Even putting aside the money issue, having a speedster on the Legend’s team just feels too imbalanced powers-wise, though. They already had to severely limit their use of Firestorm because, yes, the CGI is expensive, but also, why wouldn’t you just let him take care of everything?

He went to the trouble of stealing 40 toasters! I mean, he probably just held up a truck, but that’s still way more effort and thought than anyone else put into their wedding gift.

I mean, he’s said similar things before, so this isn’t exactly ‘news’, but he did what he could with the material.

How... many versions of that show are there now? Four?
