He was one of the lead artists on Atlantis, wasn't he? Which isn't full-blown Hellboy Mignola, but it's definitely got his DNA in there.

Mental Organism Designed Only for Killing (it on stage)

My guess is they'll just be thematically similar to stay on brand. Don't want to get expectations up at this point…

The first Exorcist film was a complete story that said everything it needed to. What this show presupposes is… maybe it didn't?

Although considering last we left off, SHIELD was both A) 5 minutes away from being publicly denounced and shuttered again and B)in space it's not like they're making it any easier for future crossovers…

Oswalt's already in the Marvel stuff, though - unless you're implying they should turn one of the Keonig's into MODOK, which just feels cruel.

It did, but it was the kind of cliffhanger that doesn't necessarily need to be resolved, IMO. But yeah, I'm not aware that they've said anything official as yet regarding a second season. I imagine it's a little tricky given that it depends on what Gearbox is doing with Borderlands proper.

Yeah. Plus a lot of it is really just the result of "we need a wacky premise for this movie because how people actually meet is kind of boring."

I mean ,sure, but isn't this like, the one time someone objects to violence rather than sexual content? AKA drawing the distinction the way everyone's been saying it should be drawn when moralism starts getting thrown around?

Yeah, just shut up and let these other people use your property for their own purposes because their creative vision trumps your silly little song. *wanking motion*

TBF getting injured is pretty in-character, at least if Fraction's run is anything to go by.

That… might actually be deliberate?

This is partly why I tend to think of Detention as the most accurate depiction of high school in film. It's wholly disconnected from reality, but the teens look like teens, their behavior approximates teenage behavior in spirit if not in realism, and their relationships are closer to the messy bullshit of actual high

And just having a recall election itself lost them a lot of voters who weren't interested in going through it all over again, even if they were against Walker. Which is not how you want to recover your reputation with people getting tired of your shit after the whole let's-just-flee-the-state! incident, however well

The one thing he had going for him in 2016 was that, policies aside, he's at least moderately intelligent as a political actor, especially compared with the competition. So just totally falling apart the way he did is baffling even for those of us who wanted to see it happen.

The dude lives in fucking Madison - at least use the opportunity to plug a local brew. Or cheese curds. If he'd taken a pic of fucking cheese curds everyone would've gone home happy.

I've only seen bits and pieces of that one - I feel like a lot of romcoms make the 'current' boyfriend/girlfriend someone who the main character clearly has no chemistry with, though. Going full jazz flute with it is maybe overkill, but hey.

The implication that they're still basically just together for the summer, as was the plan, is one of the reasons the ending actually works, IMO.

The movie does an absolutely terrible job of depicting mental illness just in general.

I mean… not constantly worrying about whether this relationship is the super special one perfectly suited to your needs and just finding a way to make what you have work is definitely the healthier attitude up to a point. But then you get into sunk cost fallacy and all that fun stuff sooo… stoically finding a way to
