I’m still hoping she cameos in a Christopher Guest comedy, seeing as they’ve been married for 38 years.
I would love a Fog remake by the man himself, with a bigger budget, contemporary special effects and a little more length. The 2005 remake just didn’t have the same magic as the original - maybe JC could do it right.
A class act as always! Reminds of David Lynch: made great genre-defining movies 20-30 years ago and now is enjoying his own personal hobbies (woodworking in Lynch’s case), making music, and generally being a positive person.
“Listen, I’ve got the HOA bylaws in my hand right here, I don’t see a single statute against arcane hex magic”
People in South Carolina love Safeway so much they drive to Virginia every week to shop there!
Exactly - I think a weaker show would have actively remarked on it, or had some character deliver a moralizing lesson, and she’d receive her comeuppance and/or learn from it.
Screw that, I wanna see the 10th Age, with hobbits driving around in Nissan Altimas and wizards debating cryptocurrency regulation.
For sure! I watched Nine Perfect Strangers at about the same time, so they’re paired in my mind as well. For me, although I had fun with the cast (especially Michael Shannon playing against type), I felt Strangers shoe-horned its characters into a plot, whereas Lotus had a plot that felt like it was naturally/inexorabl…

Also all the stuff Christopher Lloyd does in the warehouse finale is just stuff that real-life Christopher Lloyd is able to do.
Also Richard Jenkins should have won about 12 Best Supporting Actor Oscars so far.
Watch the 2010 American version - it’s really good, well acted, tightly-paced, suspenseful, spooky.
Well maybe people who shop at Meijer each have hundreds of feet.
Also, here in New York, Shop-Rite is rare. Us NYC folks mostly get our groceries at no-brand bodegas and/or overpriced local places like Union Market, Gristedes, and Fairway. But if I had to guess, Key Foods dominates in terms of volume.
immediately conveys majesty and sophistication
Just remember to wipe that shit with soft, supple, Charmin™ brand toilet paper!
I like to imagine this is because there is only one $30,000 buttrig in existence, and it’s carefully guarded by a team of dedicated intimacy coordinators and prop stylists who rarely ever allow access to the high-security vault where it is stored.
Roll Tide!
“Boy, I hope someone got fired for that blunder!”
