I would love a Fog remake by the man himself, with a bigger budget, contemporary special effects and a little more length. The 2005 remake just didn’t have the same magic as the original - maybe JC could do it right.

For sure! I watched Nine Perfect Strangers at about the same time, so they’re paired in my mind as well. For me, although I had fun with the cast (especially Michael Shannon playing against type), I felt Strangers shoe-horned its characters into a plot, whereas Lotus had a plot that felt like it was naturally/inexorabl…

For me, I’d argue that liking/having sympathy for the characters is not required for investment. In the same way that the Sopranos is a great and compelling show even though mobsters are objectively shitty people who prey on innocent victims and spread drugs and violence and mayhem.

Also all the stuff Christopher Lloyd does in the warehouse finale is just stuff that real-life Christopher Lloyd is able to do.

Also Richard Jenkins should have won about 12 Best Supporting Actor Oscars so far.
