My hope for Endgame? They really do spend some time acknowledging that randomly killing half of the planet would end up killing way, way more than that in secondary kills. Power plants would fail, supply chains would fall apart, governments would be decimated...

Looks the same, except one is a handcrafted model made in the 50's, and the other is that same ship made with modern CG.

For me Discovery is in its own universe and its non canonical because its pretty obvious they couldn’t give a damn about the pre existing canon and visual language of the show

Black Panther was not the best Superhero movie of 2018 let alone the best drama.  It was a predictable film with little tension.  The character had a better and more dramatic arc in Captain America: Civil War.  This isn’t to say it is a bad film.  But it really does feel like this nomination is a token nomination…

Probably because apart from the costume design and score, the movie was pretty meh - especially the third act. This is definitely just them throwing it a bone because they couldn’t make the “popular film” category (or whatever it was called) a thing and don’t want to seem racist.

By expanding in NYC they can ruin three areas at once! There already is talk of real estate and rents going up.

The Amazon website is the digital Sears catalog, but their cloud platform is a tech company. I think that’s what makes Amazon so amazing/dangerous/interesting/scary - from a 1950s perspective, it would be as if Sears (retail, distribution, logistics) and GE (tech company in its own way, owned NBC) merged.

If you buy now and then turn it over in a couple years when Amazon shows up you will be a winner!
