Yeah, I ended up paying $45 for a caesar salad and a beer the other night... (I DID eat some of the appetizers, but not $25 worth). But it was friends I don’t often see, so I kept my mouth shut and smiled graciously.

I’ve found that drinking water during a dinner out cuts the bill dramatically. I don’t really drink alcohol with my meal (before or after is fine though), so I usually just get in, eat my meal, pay (and I tip, usually 20% unless service sucks) and get out.
