Not too far away from Danville here in Blacksburg and I’ve witnessed the Virginia Tech police department do the same things with their vehicles while directing the vast sea of Toyota Siennas during campus move in. Same reasoning - overheating. Had never seen that before.

Pretty sure the guy doing the parachute stunt died doing it! He was an X-games competitor when they did that sky-surfing stuff in the 90's. When he releases the chute another one was supposed to deploy and it failed. Crazy that they kept running the commercial. I’m pretty positive this was for Mountain Dew, too...
