"And just for some balance, here's the U.S. reaction:"

I work at a college (and it's reading week). Every student in the building was either out front watching or had it on some form of screen. You couldn't walk more than 5 feet without seeing or hearing the game. Yes, hockey is that big of a deal to us.

For the school thing - most schools in Canada had a Red and White day today, and are also doing it tomorrow. That's how big a deal it is up here.

You're ripping early afternoon sports talk radio hosts. You do get that, right?

Just to clarify, yes, Canadians love hockey, and yes, there isn't much more exciting for us than watching our teams win gold medals... But the reason for SUCH over the top elation is we just can't fathom losing to the Americans. Yes, it happens. The 2009/2010 World Juniors comes to mind. I can honestly say the anguish

It's been a while since Canada's lost, and if they win it's usually just responding to the millions of predictable "Fuck Canada"'s that come from American keyboards.

I'm a Southerner and my family has lived in the same rural area for over 200 years. If there is a symbol to show the pride of being Southern, the confederate flag isn't one of them. Plain and simple. You want to show pride? Feed people who aren't from the South BBQ, have them listen to bluegrass, blues, or country,

the most frightening thing about it is the cost: $2.5 billion.

That TOTALLY means it isn't being used by middle-aged white guys to call up images of gang violence and 90's-era rappers to paint black men as intimidating

Note to self: Do not watch tv in this kid's house. O_0

i fucking love the op on his shirt

I'd like to know the size of that bottle so I can be suitably impressed. Personally, I've never gotten further than a cucumber.

This absolutely must be photoshopped. Regardless of whether or not it is, however, I now have a new creative outlet.

Flight is an awesomely fun game.
