Maybe she doesn’t want to steal from people. GASP!

Kickstarter - voluntary
Government funded scholarships - involuntary.

Which is the moral action?

Couldn’t tell you because I’m not an Objectivist. But I do understand their points.

And Ryan, from his policies, isn’t an Objectivist. Not even close. That’s not someone arguing for purity. That’s someone taking aan objective view of his arguments and policies and noting how far they deviate from the Objectivist

You do understand that health care doesn’t actually equate to health insurance, right?

If you look at the wait times of places with single payer, and the lack of many drugs that we currently have (I’m looking at you Canada), it quickly becomes apparent that having “coverage” isn’t even close to the same thing as

So are you equally mad that breast cancer donations triple colorectal cancer donations desppite the fact that there are higher instances of colorectal cancer?

I mean, it’s mostly women who get breast cancer, but men can get them too, but I don’t see anyone screaming “OH MY GOD! PINK!!!!!” over the breast cancer

Actually, Objectivism doesn’t rule. That’s the entire point of Objectivism. No rulers.

I love it when stupid people try to attack things they don’t understand. It’s endlessly entertaining. Keep going. It’s funny! Especially considering that Ryan is about as Objectivist or libertarian as you are.

I’d probably spend time/money there! Set up equipment, and sell pre-measured necessities such as pectin, and even jar lids. Maybe expand out to having dehydrators for jerky, smokers, etc... That would be a pretty good idea. Maybe have it like a makerspace, but for food. Add in brewing, and even rent storage space for

I’ve used the Aguilar stuff. Not the Primer-only stuff with the long-assed bullet. Just the standard subsonic rounds. It cycled beautifully through my 10/22, but sucked in my Marlin. But then, my Marlin is 50 years old, and sucks in general.

I think that people are mostly good. I favor Locke more than Hobbes. But when people start to get really hungry and/or thirsty, a major concentration of them like NY isn’t where I’d want to be. I’d figure NY would be fine as long as the food and water keep coming in. But it’d be a nightmare in an actual societal

You can also get lifestraws, and the lifestraw product that holds something like 12 liters of water and purifies it. Pretty inexpensive in the grand scheme of things. And they pack well.

We have the travel sized versions of Scrabble & Catan... That helps a lot! :D

They’re still good sources of entertainment. I have a few solar chargers and a gas generator, so I can listen to music on headphones at the very least. (I have a phone that has an SD micro slot, so I’m OK, I’ve got tons of music locally stored)

... and six months from now, you’ll be saying the same thing, when you could have slowly been building a small cache of things you could use if a disaster strikes.

Some of the things are really cheap. Buy a few gallons of water, for example. That’s about $2. Get a couple of bags of rice & a couple of beans. That’ll

Cigs (And weed) would be great bartering tools if nothing else.

In all fairness, liberals and coastal elites tend to look down on preppers and often want to take thier guns away. Said liberals are very good at couching things in terms of “reasonable gun control laws.” That’s code for “confiscation” to preppers.

If you’re in the middle of NY and doomsday happens, it’ll be too late to procure said gun, most likely.

I was suddenly terrified of that box of maxi pads my wife keeps in the bathroom cabinet!

Who says it will stay bad?

Unless they were the ones on fire. I completely understand someone on fire (or about to be on fire) jumping to their death as a more pleasant alternative.

Glad Rags.
